WINE EVENTS by THE WINE GANG

 

We hold wine festivals in London (our next is on Saturday 1 December) and exclusive tastings of wines so fabulous we call them our Ultimate Evenings. Our annual Ultimate Champagne Evening in December is one of the hottest tickets in town. This year's is on 11 December.

I co-founded The Wine Gang in 2008, with impeccable timing just as the world was going into financial meltdown in August that year, but we've gone from strength to strength. Our mission is simple: to help wine lovers drink better and buy smarter. Originally, we were an online subscription publication, publishing monthly reports packed with wine reviews, but we soon realised that our members wanted to taste wines with us, we wanted to meet them, and there were lots of other wine enthusiasts out there who wanted to attend wine events that were fun but that had really good wines to taste. So our flourishing events side was born and that's now our focus (although members can still access all the tastings notes and scores on nearly 20,000 wines and read our blogs on the website).

 

The four members of the Gang, David, me (Jo), Anthony and Sam (l to r above), collectively enjoy a monthly reach of over 11 million consumers via titles such as The Observer, theguardian.com, Decanter, BBC 1’s Saturday Kitchen, House & Garden online, The FT How To Spend It online, The World of Fine Wine and Waitrose Drinks magazine.
